Leaf Raking. There are many lawn jobs that kids can do for pay. Its that time of year in the upper states of America. The leafs are falling and people want them raked up. Adults who do not have the time or ability to rake their lawns tern to kids. I believe a respectable pay is $10-$15 depending on the size of the yard. This job is a great job but it is not a year round income. For more ideas on a constant paycheck refer to: Stock Boy. Leaf raking is a great way of making a little pocket change before the cold season comes in.

Paper Boy

Intro
News papers, a billion dollar industry. The most common way of local news. Millions of people read the local daily newspaper. But how do they get from the press to the costumer? By kids, by the paperboys, for a fair salary of $20-$35 dollars a week, depending on the size of your newspaper route

How it works
The local newspaper company divides the city or town into areas it which a paperboy delivers the newspaper. Anyone(10-UP) can be a paperboy. In this article I will give you tips and tricks on how.

Before deciding to become a paperboy, ask yourself the following.

DO I HAVE THE TIME TO DELIVER THE NEWSPAPER ON TIME(most companies require the paper to be delivered by a certain time)

DO I HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO BE A PAPER BOY

DO I HAVE A BACKUP PLAN IF SOMETHING HAPPENS(A person who could deliver when I am sick, hurt, family crisis, ext.)

AM I WILLING TO DELIVER IN BAD WEATHER(Rain, Snow, ext.)

Become a paperboy
To become a paperboy, go to your local newspaper company. Then ask them if you area is looking for a paperboy (tell them your correct information, it is important so they can determine your area). If a job is open in your neighborhood you have the job.

Delivering (If delivering in the morning)
When delivering, find the shortest route for you. For transportation, I recommend a bike(preferably with a rack on the back). To deliver, ride your bike to the house, GET OFF THE BIKE and put the paper in there newspaper slot(usually under the mail box). It is great customer service.

Mowing lawns. Any kid(8&UP) can mow lawns. Mowing lawns is something about every kid does. You can easily find a customers who are willing to pay for you to mow their lawns. In this article I will teach you the proper way to gain an income by mowing lawns.

Their are many people who are not able to mow their lawns and/or do not have the time to mow their lawns. But it has to be done. Many large city's are starting to pass laws that your lawns are required to be mowed. These laws are being passed to upkeep the image of the city.

First, find a customer, neighbor, family, friend. Then asked them details about how they want their lawns to be mowed (the height of the grass, direction, etc.). After that price their yard based on size, hills, and projected time it will take. I recommend anywhere between $10 and $25 dollars. Ask you parent/guardian if you are allowed to. Then start earning an income.
